Griffin McBride
A mostly cheerful boy with the heart of an explorer and the common sense of a turnip, Griffin is the sort of person you'd expect to find in constant trouble. However, even he wasn't quite prepared for the tempest stirred up by his brother's return to his life. |

Alasdair McBride
Sometimes being a genius doesn't make life any easier, as Alasdair could attest. One fateful night he met a stranger in the woods, and what transpired changed his life forever. Now he walks in a living nightmare, desperately searching for something - anything - that can free him. |

Libra Juliano
Her Uncle Max ran a small cafe that catered to the local magickal crowd and helped those who needed help. When Libra was young he recognized she had the Gift and began to train her as his apprentice. But now Uncle Max is gone, and Libra must try to fill his shoes whether she is ready or not. |

Amadan
A man who shows up in the oddest places at the oddest times, Amadan is himself one of the oddest people you could ever meet. Though unfailingly a gentleman, beneath that polite exterior twinkle the eyes of someone who is either a consummate mischief-maker, or else is in on a grand cosmic joke. But can even someone like the Worldwalker handle the storm brewing on the horizon? |

Ellis Sunbringer
Though he is first in line to the throne and currently the chief of the Border Rangers, Ellis isn't much of a hand at magic and prefers fishing to court politics. But make no mistake, he is extremely efficient at his job, and when his land needs him, he'll be there - for good or for ill. |

Juno Wintersmith
'Juno Wintersmith' is merely an English adaptation of her actual name, which she uses because humans cannot properly speak Dragon. Ms. Wintersmith has been trapped in the human realm for altogether too many years (in her opinion) and is desperate to return home. Her choice of means, however, tends to reflect the reason why she was banished to begin with... |

Rillan, Vern, and Fozz
An unlikely trio of teenagers who do odd clandestine jobs for Ms. Wintersmith, it comes as little surprise that they walk on the shady side of the tracks. But while Rillan seems to hold himself to an honor code of a sort, Vern seems to be in it for the ride, and Fozz...well, he used to be normal and then he met Griffin, and now he just seems a lot happier thinking he's a dog. |
